Rechargeable battery Fenix 21700 5000 mAh (ARB-L21-5000U) with its own USB-C charging connector. It can be charged by connecting a cable to the USB-C connector (e.g. from a computer, power bank or mobile phone charger) or in a classic Li-ion charger. Battery protection Fenix consists of internal safety mechanisms and protective electronics. Added electronic circuits prevent overcharging of the cell, excessive discharge, and short circuit or excessive current draw. If the battery electronics evaluate that the limit values have been reached, it safely disconnects the cell.

Internal protection consists of a separator, state-of-the-art overheating protection (PTC - Positive Temperature Coefficient) and a special explosion-proof valve. If the gas pressure in the cell exceeds a certain limit, the internal separator separates the electrodes inside battery , thereby de-facto interrupting the exothermic reaction, and the explosion-proof valve releases the excess gas pressure outside the battery. Thanks to a combination of electronic and mechanical (temperature and pressure) protection, Fenix battery is one of the safest Li-ion batteries available.

This battery is intended for use in the LED flashlight Fenix HT18, PD36R, TK22 V2.0, TK22 UE, E35 V3.0. However, it cannot be used in flashlights powered by 18650 batteries due to its larger dimensions!

Due to the battery length of 76 millimeters (including the protection circuit), it can only be charged in chargers adapted for this length. See recommended chargers below.
