The Baofeng UV-5R is a small, compact, affordable dual-band radio that works in both the VHF and UHF bands. Shared frequencies on VHF and UHF bands, marine frequencies, repeaters, PMR channels, etc. can be tuned without problems. The radio can be programmed via PC or using the keypad directly on the radio. Operation itself is very simple. High-quality sound and very good range. The station has a programmable output power of up to 5 W, 128 memory channels, support for CTCSS and DCS (PL, DPL, invert DPL), offset settings, dual monitoring of both bands, Dual band display, FM radio function, LED flashlight + SOS strobe, alarm, and many other features.

This station is fully compatible with all accessories for Wouxun radios, i.e. programming cable, Headset sets and antenna thread. The headset connector is of the Kenwood type
The radio, in its design, is not as robust as more expensive Wouxun models, but offers an excellent price alternative. It is suitable not only for Airsoft games but also for organizing various events. Thanks to its small size, it easily fits into various pouches.
