Masada is the result of 4 months of design - it is an evolution in proven technologies and lightweight construction, optimized for mass production. The transition from the M16 is greatly facilitated by the very similar placement of control points and functions, requiring only minimal adjustments to use. Currently, the actual Magpul Masada is known as the Bushmaster Adaptive Combat Rifle (ACR).
