Batteries and battery for military radios

Batteries are the lifeblood of radios — without quality power, there is no reliable communication. For military/tactical applications, the battery must withstand long shifts, extreme temperatures, vibrations, humidity and repeated charging. Li-Ion batteries offer high energy density and low weight, which is a big advantage when carrying gear, while NiMH or other robust chemistries can better withstand temperature fluctuations and more demanding handling.
